By using KATA, you agree to these Terms of Service. KATA is an event planning, receipt splitting, memory sharing, and host rewards app.

Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You agree to provide accurate information and not impersonate others.

Events and User Content

You are responsible for the events, names, descriptions, receipts, photos, memories, and other content you upload or share through KATA.

Receipt Accuracy

KATA may help scan receipts using AI, but scanning may be inaccurate. Users must review and confirm receipt totals, items, tax, tip, and splits before saving or sharing a tab.

Payments and Settling

KATA helps track shared expenses and payment status. KATA does not process payments directly unless explicitly stated. Users are responsible for settling payments outside the app using their preferred payment method.

Host Rewards

KATA may offer Host Rewards, Host Perks, or manual payout request features. Rewards are not guaranteed, may change at any time, and should not be treated as investment income, dividends, stock, or guaranteed earnings.

Manual Payout Requests

Manual payout requests are subject to review and approval. KATA may approve, reject, delay, or modify payout requests at its discretion.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to abuse the rewards system, create fake events, farm points, upload illegal content, harass users, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with KATA’s systems.

Termination

KATA may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or abuse the platform.

Limitation of Liability

KATA is provided as-is. We are not responsible for incorrect receipt scans, disputes between users, missed payments, event issues, or losses resulting from app use.
