KATA helps users create private events, invite their crew, split receipts, save memories, and manage host rewards. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use KATA.

Information We Collect

We may collect your name, email address, password authentication details, event information, guest information, receipt details, uploaded photos, memories, payout request details, wallet addresses if provided, and app usage data.

How We Use Information

We use information to create and manage accounts, process password resets, create events, invite participants, scan receipts, calculate shared tabs, save memories, manage rewards, send app-related emails, improve KATA, and provide support.

Camera and Photo Library

KATA may request camera or photo library access so users can upload receipts and event memories. Users control when they upload photos.

Receipt Scanning

KATA may use AI-assisted receipt scanning to help read totals and receipt items. Users are responsible for reviewing and confirming scanned receipt information before saving a tab.

User Content

Events, photos, receipts, notes, and memories added by users remain user-generated content. Users should only upload content they have the right to share.

Host Rewards and Payout Requests

KATA may track reward activity and manual payout requests. Payout requests may include a wallet address and requested amount. KATA does not guarantee rewards, payouts, token value, or earnings.

Emails

KATA may send transactional emails such as password reset messages and account-related notifications.

Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect user information, but no system is completely secure.

Account Deletion

Users may delete their account inside the app. Some records may be anonymized or retained where needed for shared event integrity, security, or legal purposes.
